How to wear workout clothes without breaking the law
The body-wearing workout clothing trend is on the rise, with more and more people opting for a more casual look with a new trend of yoga pants.
But not all of us can afford yoga pants, according to a study published Thursday in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine.
Some companies are selling yoga pants online that are made with fabrics like cotton and polyester, which is prohibited by law in the United States.
“There’s definitely a market for yoga pants,” said Lauren P. Czerny, a professor of clinical social work at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
“It’s more of a fashion trend than a medical trend.”
The study looked at more than 1,200 yoga pants made by brands including the KTM and Reebok, along with yoga pants sold in stores such as Foot Locker.
The study found that the majority of the clothing was made with cotton, and most of the fabrics were made with polyester fibers, which are banned by law, and the fabrics could have been made with a variety of materials, such as polyester and nylon, which has a high density of carbon dioxide.
Pillow seams, which create a smooth look and allow for better ventilation, are also a major concern.
The study found most of those yoga pants had a pillow seam, which creates a rough look.
“We know that yoga pants don’t come without seams, but they’re not as smooth as we would like them to be,” Czterny said.
“What we found was that it’s pretty clear that there’s a difference between the materials and the seams.”
She said it was hard to tell the difference between fabrics and seams because the products looked so similar.
“They look like the same thing, but it’s hard to distinguish between them,” she said.
In addition to fabric and seam, the study also looked at the fabrics’ color and texture.
There were three major color categories in yoga pants: blue, white and red.
Blue is considered the most durable, while white is the least durable, the report said.
Red is more common, and more commonly used for yoga, compared to white.
The researchers also found that many of the yoga pants were made without the right breathability and moisture-wicking properties.
“I would say that there is definitely a gap between what is considered comfortable and what is not,” C.D. Wright, an associate professor at the Cleveland Clinic School of Public Health and Health System Epidemiology, said in a statement.
“If you’re comfortable in a yoga pants you’re more likely to wear them regularly.”
D Wright, a member of the American Academy of Preventative Medicine, said the study is important because yoga pants are a great way to get a workout done without breaking any laws.
“It’s very important that people take care of their health, so people are wearing yoga pants for health reasons and not just for aesthetic reasons,” he said.
“And I think that’s a good thing.”
Wright said yoga pants may be a better option for people who are worried about pollution or don’t want to use air-conditioning units.
“In this country, there’s such a stigma associated with breathing, so I would say yoga pants could be a great alternative,” he added.
“The question is, are people willing to pay the price of a breathable and water-wickable fabric?
The answer is no.”
