Running, walking and yoga with a ‘bulk’ workout
If you’re looking for a ‘bigger’ workout, then the bulk yoga and running classes will definitely be the best option.
In fact, it’s likely that these classes will take you to the next level of fitness and help you to get rid of your excess weight.
A study by a team of researchers, published in the Journal of Applied Physiology, revealed that yoga and walking can help to improve blood pressure and reduce cholesterol.
So, if you’re one of the millions of people who struggle to keep your weight down, yoga is definitely the way to go. “
In addition, women who participated in the classes had significantly lower levels of waist circumference and lower levels for total cholesterol and triglycerides,” said lead researcher, Prof. David Ebers, who is an expert in cardiovascular health and diabetes at Imperial College London.

The study also revealed that the classes also improved blood pressure levels, which is good news for the heart and blood vessel health.
But, it also found that the yoga classes did not significantly reduce the risk for type 2 diabetics.
“The difference in cardiovascular risk between the yoga group and the control group was small, and the results for the women are very encouraging,” Prof. Ebers said.
“We do not know whether these results reflect a reduction of risk or a reduction at the same level as a control group, but the reduction in risk could be due to the yoga program and is consistent with previous research showing that the exercise can have a significant effect on cardiovascular risk factors.”
So yoga classes can help you burn off excess weight in a healthier way, which can help keep you on track to your fitness goals.
